French Concord Jockey

1973-01-12, Olivier was born in Château-Gontier, Mayenne département, a very horsey area of France.

His dad was a stone mason in a family that had nothing to do with horses.

Olivier was soon a star on the pony racing circuit, booting home 43 winners.

He joined Patrick Biancome as an apprentice.

He won his first big race, a listed race on HIGH PURSE at his local track, le Lion d’Angers.

1993, Olivier joined Nicolas Clement, after Biancome moved to Hong Kong.

Olivier as 20 year old made his mark by winning the Prix Jean Prat on LE BALAFRE.

Signed by Horse owner Daniel Wildenstein as his retained jockey.

HIGHLIGHTS

Peslier has been French champion jockey 4 times.

He had over 100 wins at Gr.1 level worldwide.

He won three Prix de l’Arc de Triomphes from 1996 to 1998.

And has twice won the Japan Cup on JUNGLE POCKET and ZENNO ROB ROY.

2010, he rode GOLDIKOVA, a 14 G1 successes including a record third consecutive victory in the Breeders’ Cup Mile.

His prosperous partnership with the ”super mare” brought five G1 wins including the Prix d’Ispahan and Prix Rothschild.
